@DrMary_Alphonse

Women experience unique health care challenges and are more likely to be diagnosed with certain diseases than men. Women of this digital era are tactically balancing work and home, despite facing many challenges in and out of home. This constant stress and strain leaves an impact on the health and wellness of women. Both can lead to a variety of symptoms, but chronic stress can take a serious toll on the body over time and have long-lasting health effects.

What are the most common health disorders in females…?

  • Uterine Fibroids
  • Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
  • Urinary Tract Infections (UTI)
  • Arthritis
  • Osteoporosis

What are Uterine fibroids...?

Benign growths in the uterus that can develop during a woman's childbearing years. Also called as uterine myoma or leiomyomas.

A family history of fibroids, obesity or early onset of puberty are considered to be the risk factors.

Fibroids are generally classified by their location. Intramural fibroids grow within the muscular uterine wall. Submucosal fibroids bulge into the uterine cavity. Subserosal fibroids project to the outside of the uterus.

Symptoms include:

  • Heavy or prolonged periods
  • Spotting or bleeding between periods
  • Pelvic and abdominal pain
  • Frequent urination
  • Low back pain

What is PCOS...?

Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is hormonal disorder of abnormal ovarian function with small cysts and hyperandrogenism in women of child bearing age.

Women with PCOS produce higher-than-normal amounts of male hormones, androgens.

Symptoms include:

  • Menstrual irregularity or amenorrhea
  • Infertility (because of irregular ovulation or failure to ovulate)
  • Unwanted hair growth in places like face, chest, etc. (Hirsutism)
  • Male-pattern baldness or thinning hair
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Acne with oily face
  • Obesity

What is Urinary tract infections…?

Urinary tract infections (UTI's) are infection in any part of your urinary tract such as kidney, ureters, bladder and urethra.

Urinary tract infections are more in females than males as the female’s urinary tract is smaller than the males and is structurally inside, hence easy for germs to enter.

Obstruction the urinary tract by renal stones and cystitis cause more frequent infections,

The weakness of nerves that control the urinary tract cause incomplete urine output can lead to urinary tract infection.

     Symptoms include:

  •      Strong, persistent increased urge to urinate
  •      Burning sensation or pain when urinating (dysuria)
  •      Passing frequent, small amounts of urine
  •      Cloudy or dark urine
  •      Reddish or bright pink or cola-colored urine (hematuria)
  •      Strong-smelling urine
  •      Pelvic pain, in the center of the pelvis or pubic bone
  •      Back pain or lower abdominal pain
  •      Fever or chills indicates that infection has reached kidneys

What are Arthritic complaints in females…?

Arthritis is inflammation of the joints causing pain and stiffness which can worsen with age.

Females are not only more prone to arthritis than men but also experience much worse pains.

Most types of arthritis are more common in women, including osteoarthritis (OA), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and fibromyalgia.

    Symptoms of arthritis include:

  •  Pain
  • Stiffness
  • Swelling
  • Redness
  • Heat felt in the joints
  • Reduced range of movements
  • Difficulty walking
  • Painful joint movements after waking up in the morning

    What is Osteoporosis...?
  •      Osteoporosis is a bone disease that occurs when the body loses too much bone, makes too little bone, or both. As a result, bones become weak and brittle which may break from mild trauma of a fall or from minor bumps.
  •      Women are more at risk of developing osteoporosis than men because of the hormone changes that happen at the menopause which directly affect bone density. The female hormone oestrogen is essential for healthy bones. After the menopause, oestrogen levels fall leading to a rapid decrease in bone density.
  •      Calcium deficiency or low calcium intake contributes to diminished bone density, early bone loss and an increased risk of fractures.
  •      When the bones are becoming softened there may not be any symptoms to some extent.

     Symptoms include:

  •      Back pain, caused by a fractured or collapsed vertebra
  •      Loss of height over time
  •      Stooped posture
  •      Bone that breaks much more easily than expected

How to combat Stress and Depression in women...?

  • Working women are encouraged to recognize that the perfect balance between work and home life is an unattainable myth.
  • Instead, consider work among the multiple life roles that you manage along with other roles.
  • Each role may require more effort and time than others across the course of the year and throughout your life.
  • Seeking help from others in your work and life environments to share the load can reduce the stress involved to some extent.
  • Prioritizing your roles can help you decide how best to manage your time across your various roles and responsibilities.
  • Healthy diet, exercise and taking some leisure time with a good night's sleep are all beneficial in keeping the system intact.

How Homeopathy treatment helps in female troubles…?
  • Female troubles such as these are common conditions that includes various hormonal changes at puberty, menarche, pregnancy until menopause.
  • Female life is divided into 3 phases. Firstly, birth to puberty, secondly, puberty to adult, thirdly, menopause or climacteric.
  • Researches have supported that women with great physical and mental stress have disturbed menses and cause hormonal imbalance.
  • Women suffering with fibroid uterus, PCOD, recurrent U.T.I need proper homeopathic treatment that helps in curing the disease while bringing a hormonal balance.
